Dr Halabi-Tawil performs excision of suspicious moles, skin cancers, or other lesions, under local anesthesia, in the dedicated small-surgery facilities at Hotel-Dieu de France’s external consultations tower. After removal, the lesion is sent to the pathology lab for analysis. Stitches are removed in 5-15 days depending on the location.
Biopsies of skin lesions or tumors
Sometimes a skin biopsy is needed to correctly diagnose a skin condition, or to confirm a diagnosis. A small punch-biopsy of 3,5 or 4mm of skin is taken, under local anesthesia, and then sent to pathology for analysis. A few stitches are then made for closure.
Skin tags removal
Skin tags are an extremely common condition that often esthetically bother patients. It can easily be removed in an in-clinic and usually painless procedure.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy can be used to treat precancerous lesions like actinic keratosis, but can also be used to treat seborrheic keratosis, sun spots, warts, genital papillomas caused by HPV.
